The Defence Advisers/Attachés (DAs’) Annual Refresher Training for the year 2018 was held at the SY Audu Hall, Defence Intelligence College (DIC) Karu-Abuja from 5 – 9 Nov 18. The packages for the Refresher Training took into cognizance the theme of the 2018 DA’s Conference which was “Collaboration among Security Agencies as a Panacea for Combating National Security Challenges: The Role of the Defence Attaché System”.

The training programme was aimed at refreshing the participants understanding and skills on trade craft and attitudes required to enhance their operation at the defence diplomatic missions. In addition, the training provided participants with the opportunity to share their experience and discuss their challenges in their AORs. It was also aimed at equipping and strengthening the DA’s with additional knowledge to perform their duties more effectively as well as to add value to the fulfilment of DIA mandate while operating in a diplomatic environment The programme was well organized with a total of 13 lectures delivered by different security professionals from within and outside the Agency. The lectures covered a wide range of subjects and ample opportunities were given for interactive sessions to enable participants share their experiences.
